Taoist alchemy!

‘’I open the curtains of my room, lie down on a couch, everything around me ceases to exist --- there is only the black and white page that my eyes scan. And here comes to mind the surprising cosmic adventure related by some practitioners of Taoist alchemy: leaving an inert carcass on their bed, they would soon take flight; for centuries they would travel from peak to peak, across the entire earth and to the ends of the cosmos. When they found their body again, it had not aged, but rather rejuvenated’’

Simone de Beauvoir, Final Balance

On the last trip back to Salvador, before leaving, I was walking along the coast looking, taking in the history of the world of city forms. For the past five months I had been immersed in my second attention, and a dark pineal Atlanticism had been resurrected within me --- if I were writing a manual on Toltec nagualism, there would be much to say.

There was little left to do (however), other than exercise and meditate, before everything ended up happening in a flattening and tedious continuation.

"I float in a rarefied atmosphere

Prior to organized form,

Oblivious to the hum of Creation"
(MM, Parable)

(and wasn't it Toynbee who said?: "All perception is a hallucination")
